Blog update time:
I really need to start a posting schedule but it is what it is! I can't believe we're already HALF done 2024?! Time is FLYING! I'm so busy with everything else I forget I need to post on here so this is probably what will be happening for you if you read this anyways: just updates & then nothing forever, then an update. Think of it like the coffees you get with your friend that you never see then have like a 2 hour date every few months. *lol*
Arts Council meetings are never at a time I can attend, it's always a Monday at 7 pm which is when we're starting bed time routine & one of us is always at work, so I've just stepped back from trying to be involved in that. As for teaching classes, I haven't yet been able to even look into that because you have to be on the Arts Council or at least attending. *lol* So that's not something I can do with my current schedule. I don't feel bad about it, I've learned that if things don't flow, it's not a place to go. Saves a lot of mental/emotional energy to just allow things to either fall into place or not. I don't struggle smashing puzzle pieces together. If it aligns with the vision I'm working on, I'll make a way for it. But if it becomes a struggle then I just let it go. I'm at a peaceful place in my life & although there's always disappointment to work through when I have to let opportunities pass, I know there's always something around the corner that will be great. Life has been really good at teaching me that.
Tiktok: I didn't meet my goals that I had originally had. I had changed it to a business account but didn't make the goal fast enough for the algorithm to be happy, or something, so it's back to being a regular account. I don't know if I will actually use it as a creator's account since there's time limits to everything & I don't have the spoons available to be constantly plugging on there.
Printify: I completely forgot about this for 5 months. Classic. I have everything planned out to drop though, so I will be posting that link somewhere. I'm not entirely sure how it's going to work, but it's another thing on the list. I'm not stressing over it, but if you're interested in it please do let me know. Knowing what people are looking forward to also helps me prioritize things a lot easier! It's not useful to me to have too many fingers in pies if nobody's actually interested in the pie.
Newsletter: As previously mentioned I don't send it anymore, it was a lot of work for no return so this is the only place to keep up now unless you know me personally.
House murals: on hold, our basement needed an entire overhaul because of the disaster that happened over Xmas, so I don't have a craft room, game room, or half a basement right now. I'm also back to working out of the house so there's less time to get into the groove I need for that. Also our yard is huge, it takes a lot of time to maintain as well with all the bylaws everyone loves to grouse about here like typical small towns. I'll get around to updating you on Tumblr on what the murals look like. I have two sketched out, on the wall. I just need to actually start painting them.
Vids/Courses on YouTube: still working on those! There are so many things technologically that I don't know in the world of editing, so it's a matter of condensing the ideas down to what's feasible for me right now & then going from there. It's a pet project & my office has been moved 3 times since trying to do them. I still don't really have one, I'm literally typing this in my bedroom closet where I have set up my PC with my printer so I can at least keep on top of my civvy job & homework. I'm still plugging away at college while my kids are in school. I might graduate before I'm 60. *lol* (It's bookkeeping, if anyone is interested.)
That's it that's all, I'm doing a lot but the progress is slow. Like my last blog post though, forward is forward! Doesn't matter how slow you go as long as you go.
À Demain,
Izzy
